Who is a minivan good for?
A minivan is a good fit for families with car seats and lots of bags. If you're unsure between two sizes, think about your bags first: most people run out of boot space before they run out of seats.
What should I check before I book a minivan?
- Age: drivers under 25 often pay a daily young driver fee, and some classes need you to be older. See under 25 rentals.
- Card: the deposit usually goes on a credit card in the driver's name. See what you need to rent a car.
- Cover: check what your own insurance or card already covers before you buy cover at the counter.

Typical minivan models are the Chrysler Pacifica, Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey, Kia Carnival. Companies book a class, not a model, so you get one of these or something similar.
How many people fit in a minivan rental car?
It seats 7 to 8. With every seat full, bag space shrinks, so book a size up if you're carrying a lot.

Usually not. You book the class and the counter gives you whatever is on the lot in that class. Some companies let you choose on the lot at certain airports, so ask your agent.
